All About My Hair!

IMG_2067

Hey y’all!
I swear, sometimes inspiration comes out of the most random situations. A few weeks ago, I visited Salon Yeager for a much-needed color and cut. I’ve been a bit lazy in taking care of my hair ever since I got married back in May…. lets just say I was LONG overdue for a trim, and craving a little change in my color.
A few days later, I got several questions from so people I’d run into (or on
IG) asking where I get my hair done and who does it. So I thought- why not write a post about it where people can find everything in one place? Today, I’ll be answering all the questions I can think of regarding how I get my hair done, and how I take care of my hair between appointments.

For starters, let me just say that I am EXTREMELY skittish about letting people work on my hair. Even in college, when my hair stylist was in Texas, and I was at school in NJ, I refused to let someone else touch it. But when I finally moved to TN for grad school, I had to accept the fact that it was unrealistic for me to keep my hair healthy and maintained with the very minimal visits I would get to make home. I did a lot of research, and asked around, and heard tons of glowing reviews about Salon Yeager. I took the plunge, and made an appointment with Bethany. I’ve been seeing Bethany for three years now, and there has never been a time my hair hasn’t turned out fabulous.

Now, on to the Q&A:

Salon: Salon Yeager
Stylist: Bethany Erickson
How often I get my hair done/cut: ~3 months
Shampoo/conditioning line I use: Loreal pro fiber **This is a salon grade hair line- Let me know if you have questions about these products, and I can cover those in another post 🙂 **

How I get my hair colored/what I ask for: balayage, brighter blonde at the ends
How I get my hair cut/What I ask for: long layers

I also want to mention that Salon Yeager has an amazing rewards program. For every 50 points you earn, you get $1 to spend towards products or services. If you are coloring your hair and buying products, this adds up fast! Here is a breakdown of their point system:

All that said, if you are looking for a new stylist/salon, you should definitely check out Salon Yeager! Tell them Amanda Kennedy sent you, and you’ll get $20 (1000 points) off your first service!

As always, feel free to comment/message me any questions you may have.
