Happy hump day y’all!
It is Wednesday, and that means we are already halfway through this week! Annnnddd that also means my husband comes home tomorrow- YAY! Anywho, based on the feedback I got from y’all on Instagram this past week, I decided to do this week’s Skincare ABC post in a video format. Let me tell ya, there was DEFINITELY a learning curve there.. so I apologize in advance for the low-quality video, and lack of advanced editing (or really, any editing at all). The good news is, if y’all prefer videos for certain content, I will continue to get better by doing it more often 🙂
If you’d rather not watch the video, but still want to know the highlights, I’ve included the abbreviated version of the information I will be discussing below the video.
Without further ado, I present to you, Skincare ABC’s: C is for Vitamin C
As I discussed in the video, the things to remember about Vitamin C are:
- Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is effective at treating/preventing sun damage and wrinkles when used with sunscreen
- Vitamin C comes in many forms, but ascorbic acid is king!
- Packaging is important! Look for something airtight, and protected from light. Store away from heat.
- Vitamin C plays a critical role in collagen synthesis (aka the layer of stuff beneath your skin that keeps it bouncy and youthful!)
Here are links to the products discussed in the video:
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum ($80)
Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream ($64)
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85)
Algenist GENIUS Ultimate Anti-Aging Vitamin C+ Serum ($118)
Thanks for following along on this series. I hope you learned something new today! As always, feel free to leave any questions/comments/suggestions for future content below.
Love,
Amanda
